Falcons Close Out Regular Season Hosting 19th-Ranked Denver

The Air Force women's gymnastics team closes out its home slate on Monday, March 22, when it hosts 19th-ranked Denver at the Academy's Cadet West Gym. The Falcons will face off with its local rival at 6 p.m. The meet is the final regular season competition for Air Force, who will begin the post-season on Saturday, March 20, at the MPSF Championships.

FALCONS SPLIT SEASON SERIES WITH UAA
Air Force faced Alaska-Anchorage four times during the regular season, splitting the campaign with a 2-2 record. Every competition was exceptionally close, as the four decisions came down to just an average of .650. Air Force fell by a 187.650-187.075 margin on March 12, before dropping an even closer 190.050-189.975 contest on March 14 - the narrowest margin (.075) of the series.
CALLEY SETS TEAM-BEST BEAM SCORE
Britany Calley claimed her first balance beam title with a career-high 9.775 at UAA on March 14. Competing in just her third meet of the season, Calley posted the Falcons' highest score of the season on that event - bettering the previous mark by a half-point. She paced the Falcons to three of the top four spots, as Jenna Dudley placed second (9.750) and Lisa Wong finished fourth (9.675).
THE RESULS ARE A LITTLE UNEVEN
Air Force claimed six of the top-eight finishes on the uneven bars during the March 14 meet at Alaska-Anchorage. Brittany Dutton finished third (9.650), while Aftan Boudreaux and Britany Calley finished fourth (9.575) and fifth (9.475), respectively. Holland Davis (9.450, sixth), Michelle Denise (9.425, seventh) and Jenna Dudley (9.375, eighth) rounded out the scoring.

Air Force travels to Seattle, Wash., for the 2010 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships on Saturday, March 27.
