USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The eight members of the Air Force men's gymnastics team's Class of 2015 recently completed their first week of Basic Cadet Training. The squad's freshmen, who arrived at the Academy on June 23 for in-processing, will join the 13 returning members of the Falcons' gymnastics team once BCT is completed in August.

The eight-member freshmen class represents seven states, ranging across the country. In addition to a pair of gymnasts from Colorado, the Class of 2015 represents California, Florida, Massachusetts, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas.
"This is, by far, the best recruiting class that has been assembled in the last decade," head coach Kip Simons said when the group first arrived last week. "With the amount of raw talent that this class brings in, I fully anticipate that men's gymnastics will take another step forward in the national rankings."

During the second phase, the Basics will march out to Jack's Valley, where they will focus on field training activities, while developing their mental and physical confidence training.
Classes begin for the Falcons in early August and the two-time defending USAG champions open the 2012 competitive season in January.
