Falcons Win Pair of Games Versus Cal Baptist

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The Air Force water polo team opened up its spring slate on Saturday with a pair of victories over Cal Baptist.
In the first contest, Air Force claimed a 4-1 advantage after one period before earning the 9-5 victory. Junior Cruz Smithson (Capistrano Beach, Calif.) and sophomore Andrew Hamilton (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) led the Falcons with two goals each, while Petar Jackovich (Fr., New Lenox, Ill.), Brad Rajchel (Jr., Winter Park, Fla.), Mike Radosevich (Jr., Temecula, Calif.), Josh Stedman (So., Brea, Calif.) and Dominic Vicino (Fr., Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) each added the other Air Force scores. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Mike Fish (Jr., Manhattan Beach, Calif.) recorded 19 stops for the Falcons.
The Falcons notched another four-goal victory in the second game, defeating the Lancers, 12-8. Smithson paced Air Force with four goals, while Jackovich added two scores. Also getting on the board for the Falcons in game two were Rajchel, Hamilton, Stedman, Brad Duncan (So., Fresno, Calif.), Dillon Fisher (Jr., Orange, Calif.) and Garrett Womack (Jr., Redlands, Calif.). Fish registered double-digits in saves for the second time on the day, recording 11 blocks.
Air Force will be back in action this weekend, April 21-22, when they head to Berkeley, Calif., to take on USC and Stanford.
