When completed, the Falcons will have over 25,000-square feet of training space in one facility.
The northern half of the facility will feature a state-of-the-art training space that includes a two-story structure that will eliminate the need of the old secondary, auxiliary gym. The lower level will feature new locker rooms and storage spaces, as well as the base of several training pits. The upper level will include vaulting runways, spring floor strips, a 16x16 resi-pit, a loose foam pit, a trench/canyon pit and a trampoline. The floor of the northern half will also house additional event apparatus for practices.
The other half of the gym will be the competition area and a divider will be able to close off the training area during home meets. Bleachers will flank the south and west ends of the facility, with an additional entrance into the gym being built in the southwest corner. The new venue will also feature a new scoreboard, as well as new lighting and infrastructure.
The renovation is currently ahead of schedule and the Falcons are scheduled to move return to their home venue prior before the end of the year.
