Shane Starrett named AHC Goaltender of the Week

U.S.AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force freshman Shane Starrett was named the Atlantic Hockey Conference goaltender of the week as he helped lead the Falcons to three points on the road at Sacred Heart, Nov. 20-21.
In the two-game series, he stopped 44 of 47 shots for a .936 saves percentage and a 1.44 goals against average. He made 21 saves in the first game as the Falcons and Pioneers skated to a 1-1 overtime tie. The next night, he made 23 saves, including 11 in the third period as Air Force won, 3-2. In the second period, he stopped a penalty shot when the score was tied at 1-1. On the season, Starrett has a 2.37 GAA and a .916 saves percentage to rank second in the conference among freshman goaltenders.
The Falcons (4-6-2 overall and 3-3-2 AHC) play a two-game non-conference series against the Colorado College Tigers, Friday, Nov. 27, at the Cadet Ice Arena and Saturday, Nov. 28, at the Broadmoor World Arena.
