Air Force (5-7-2, 3-3-2 AHC) hosts the Canisius Golden Griffins (3-9-1, 3-4-1 AHC) for a two-game Atlantic Hockey Conference series, Friday-Saturday, Dec. 4-5, at 7:05 pm MT each night at Cadet Ice Arena.
Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday only
Falcon hockey fans can help brighten the holiday season for children in the Colorado Springs area with The Teddy Bear Toss, presented by BooDads, on Saturday, Dec. 5. When Air Force scores its first goal, on Saturday only, fans can throw their stuffed toy on the ice. Fans are encouraged to put the stuffed toy in a plastic bag to both protect the toy and also make them easier to pick up. The toys will be donated to children during the holiday season.

Every regular-season and playoff game will be broadcast in Colorado Springs on Xtra Sports 1300 and on the internet at www.GoAirForceFalcons.com. Jay Ritchie will call the play-by-play while Dave Toller will provide color analysis. Pregame show begins 30 minutes before faceoff each day.

Scouting the Golden Griffs
Canisius is 3-9-1 overall and 3-4-1 and in sixth place in Atlantic Hockey. The Griffs lost (3-1) and tied (1-1) at Army West Point in a two-game league series. Canisius is winless in the last three and has just one win since Oct. 31 (1-6-1). The Griffs are 1-3 on the road this season with the win coming at Sacred Heart. Senior Ralph Cuddemi and junior Shane Conacher are tied for the team lead with six goals and 14 points. Sophomore Reilly Turner and freshman Simon Hofley have split time in goal. Hofley has the best numbers with a 2.97 GAA and a .914 saves percentage. They each started a game the last week vs. Army.
Series vs. the Griffs
Air Force and Canisius have played 30 times and the Falcons hold an 13-10-7 lead in the series that began in 2006. In games played at Air Force, the series is tied at 6-6-4. In the history of the series, no team has won more than two games in a row. In the 30 games in the series, 22 games have been decided by two goals or less. Last season, the teams split four games, splitting a two-game series at both venues. Canisius won 3-1 in Buffalo and 4-1 at the Academy. Air Force won 3-2 in Buffalo and 4-1 at the Academy. In the last 10 games in the series, each team has won five.
