
Falcons Net Season-High at Denver Triangular

DENVER, Colo. - The Air Force women's gymnastics recorded its highest score of the season (193.450) during a third-place finish at the DU Triangular this evening (March 7) in Denver. Senior Jessica Wallander paced the Falcons, as she notched a top-three placement on the vault.
The Pioneers, ranked 17th in the national standings, won their home triangular with a score of 196.925, while Ohio State scored a 194.775 to take second.
Wallander, who scored a season-high 9.875 to tie for third on the vault, also paced the Falcons on the uneven bars and floor exercise. The senior matched her season-high of 9.775 to finish sixth on the uneven bars, while she and classmate Alexandra Stych tied for that placement on the floor with matching scores of 9.750.
The Falcons put four gymnasts in the top half of the field on the floor, as senior Kim McRobbie and sophomore Kara Witgen tied for ninth with matching 9.725 scores. McRobbie also added a top-nine finish on the parallel bars, as she tied for eighth on the uneven bars with a 9.725. Freshman Jamie Lewis joined Wallander among the top half of the vault standings, as she tallied a career-best 9.825 to tie for seventh, while sophomore Annie Graft paced the squad on the balance beam with a 9.775.
Air Force and Denver will meet again on Monday (March 9), when the two programs join Alaska-Anchorage at the Academy's Cadet West Gym for a 6:00 p.m., triangular
