Air Force Plays to 2-2 Draw at Nevada

Air Force rallied twice from deficits to pull out the tie. The Falcons got scores from freshman Bre Robertson and sophomore Angela Karamanos.
After playing to a scoreless tie at the half, the offenses got going. Hannah Miller scored for Nevada in the 50th minute for the first score of the match.
The Falcons tied it up at the 69:23 mark on Robertson's successful penalty kick conversion.
Nevada re-took the lead on Lindsey Salcido's goal at the 78:47 mark on a rebound off an initial save.
Air Force was again able to rally as Karamanos scored the equalizer at the 85:26 mark. Karamanos scored off a header on a corner kick by sophomore Brooke Rittmann.
The teams were even in shots attempted with 15 each. Air Force held a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks. Nevada drew three yellow cards, to one for the Falcons.
Sophomore Alex Kahalley had eight saves in goal for the Falcons.
"It was a great game for us, rallying back from two deficits," Air Force head coach Larry Friend said. "We had to change our style of play to be more direct, and it worked out."
Air Force returns to action Friday, Oct. 2, hosting Wyoming.
