TWO GAMES, TWO DAYS
Air Force is playing games in back-to-back days this week by hosting Jacksonville Monday and Johnson & Wales Tuesday. The Falcons are doing it in preparation for tournaments later this season where back-to-back games will happen. The Falcons play in the Savannah Classic Nov. 25-26, as well and the Mountain West tournament March 8-11.
SERIES VS. JACKSONVILLE
Air Force and Jacksonville are playing for the first time. The Falcons are 2-1 all-time vs. teams from the Atlantic Sun. Air Force is 1-1 vs. Belmont and 1-0 vs. Stetson.
SERIES VS. JOHNSON & WALES
Air Force is 2-0 all-time vs. Johnson & Wales. The team's first played Jan. 3, 2012 at the Academy, resulting in a 59-42 Air Force win. The Falcons beat JWU, 80-56, last season in Clune Arena.

LAST SEASON VS. JWU
Zach Moer scored a career-high 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Air Force past Johnson & Wales, 80-56, Dec. 22 in a non-conference game in Clune Arena.
The Falcons scored the first seven points of the game and never trailed while improving to 6-1 at home. Air Force closed the first half with a 9-2 run over the last 6:13 to take a 38-29 halftime lead. The Falcons held the Wildcats without a field goal over the run.
Air Force opened the second half with a 10-2 spurt to take a commanding 48-31 lead with 16:55 left and were never serious threatened after that. Johnson & Wales never got closer than 11 points the rest of the way.
Zach Kocur added 14 points and five rebounds while Frank Toohey added a career-high 10 points. Trevor Lyons chipped in with nine points while Jacob Van added a career-best eight points. The Falcons shot 46.6 percent from the field, including a 42.9 clip from 3-point range. The team also hit 76.9 percent from the free throw line on 20-of- 26 shooting. Air Force out-rebounded JWU, 42-33, and had 14 assists while forcing 18 turnovers.
Johnson & Wales was led by Aaron Stone, who scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds. JWU shot just 30.9 percent from the field, including a 24.2 mark in the second half.
LAST WEEK
Senior Hayden Graham scored 16 points to lead three players in doubles figures as Air Force beat McPherson College, 88-71, Nov. 11 in Clune Arena in the season opener.
Air Force scored the first six points of the game and took a 10-2 lead early. The Falcons, leading 18-15 midway through the first half, broke the game open with a 20-2 run to take a 38-17 lead with 3:48 left in the half. Frank Toohey had seven straight points and Graham followed with five straight to key the run.
The Falcons were never seriously threatened in the second half and led by as many as 20 points, 63-43, midway through the half before emptying the benches. The Falcons shot 56.0 percent (28-50) from the field and never trailed in the game. All 16 players that dressed saw action. The Falcons had 20 assists and just six turnovers.
Toohey added 14 points and Zach Kocur chipped in with 14 points and a team-high six rebounds. Jacob Van added eight points and Trevor Lyons and Caleb Morris each added seven points.
McPherson was led by Chris Crook, who had 18 points. Grant Raleigh added 12 points. The Bulldogs shot 42.9 percent from the field and had 12 3-pointers.
