WEST POINT, N.Y. - Air Force women's basketball dropped a 75-47 contest at Army West Point Wednesday night at Cristl Arena. Junior Erika Chapman and freshman Mariah Forde led the Falcons with nine points each.
ArmyWest Point (3-1) utilized a full-court press the entire game as Air Force was held to its lowest point total of the season. Forward Madison Hovren scored 22 points and had nine rebounds to lead the Black Knights. Guard Destinee Morris added 17 points.
Chapman was 4-of-6 shooting in 16 minutes off the bench for the Falcons, adding three rebounds. Forde was 3-of-6 shooting, making one of Air Force's two three-point baskets on the night. Forde also had three rebounds.

Air Force trailed by just four in the second quarter before a 12-0 Army West Point run but the Falcons behind 28-12. Air Force went into halftime trailing 30-16. The Falcons nearly doubled their scoring out-put in the second-half scoring 31 points in the latter half.
"When you're playing as many freshmen as we are, it's going to be difficult against an NCAA Tournament team like Army West Point, especially on their home court," Air Force head coach Chris Gobrecht said. "It was very evident they had some more experienced players on their end. I would have liked a better outcome, but our program and its players have to mature if we are going to be successful."
Air Force returns to action Saturday, Nov. 26, at Fairleigh Dickinson. Tip-off, at The Stratis Arena in Hackensack, NJ, is 1 pm ET.
