Three Falcons Named Academic All-Conference

WOODLAND, Calif. – Three members of the Air Force women's gymnastics team received academic honors from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation this afternoon (April 19), as executive director Al Beaird announced the list of 2016 MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athletes.
The Falcons were represented on the conference's All-Academic list by senior Joey Ching (Kailua, Hawaii), classmate Sarah Neumann (Corcoran, Minn.) and junior Kara Witgen (Romeo, Mich.). It is the first such honor for Ching and the second for both Neumann (2014) and Witgen (2015).
To be considered for an All-Academic selection, student-athletes must hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher, be at least a sophomore with one full academic year completed at the institution, and have competed in 50-percent or more of the institution's competitions.
