Air Force Wraps up Competition at NCAA Regional

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Sophomore Jamie Lewis and junior Kara Witgen, representing the Air Force women's gymnastics team, wrapped up competition at the 2016 NCAA Regional this evening (April 2) in Minneapolis. Lewis finished 14th in the all-around with a 37.550, while Witgen placed 15th with a 37.000.
Lewis and Witgen tied for 37th on the floor exercise with matching marks of 9.625, while finishing in a tie for 39th on the uneven bars behind marks of 9.350. Lewis paced the pair on the remaining two events with a9.725 on the vault (36th) and an 8.850 on the balance beam (40th). Witgen rounded out her all-around total with a 9.675 on the vault (49th) and an 8.350 on the balance beam (42nd).
The Falcons return to team competition next weekend (April 8-10), when they travel to St. Charles, Mo., for the 2016 USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships.
