
Women's Gymnastics Announces 2017 Schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Four home meets highlight the Air Force women's gymnastics 2017 schedule, which was released this morning by the Academy's athletic department. The Falcons, under the direction of head coach Doug Day, will compete in 11 regular-season meets, as they prepare for the conference, regional and national championship events.
2017 Air Force Women's Gymnastics Schedule
Air Force opens the season on Saturday, Jan. 7, when it hosts Winona State at the Cadet West Gym. The Falcons also host Sacramento State (Jan. 21) and UC Davis (Feb. 11) at the Academy, before closing out the home slate with a meet against San Jose State on Feb. 18.
The Falcons' road schedule, which crisscrosses the country during the season, begins in Denver on Jan. 14, when Air Force takes part in a quadrangular meet with DU, Arizona State and Texas Woman's University. The Falcons will also travel to Centenary (Jan. 29), Seattle Pacific (Feb. 4), New Hampshire (Feb. 24), Bridgeport (Feb. 26) and Southeast Missouri (March 5), before wrapping up the regular-season portion of their schedule at UC Davis on March 10.
The championship season begins for the Falcons on March 18, when they travel to San Jose, Calif., for the 2017 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships. The Falcons will send individuals to the NCAA Regional Championships on Saturday, April 1 (location TBA), while the squad closes out the 2017 campaign at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals in Seattle, Wash., on April 7-9.
