Meet Notes 08: at #23 New Hampshire, at Bridgeport ![]()
The Air Force women's gymnastics team heads to the East Coast this weekend for a pair of non-conference dual meets. The Falcons open the road swing at No. 23 New Hampshire on Friday, Feb. 24, before traveling to Bridgeport on Sunday, Feb. 26.
NEW HAMPSHIRE QUICK HITS
New Hampshire is currently ranked 23rd in the nation with a Regional Qualifying Score of 195.290. The Wildcats, backed by a season-high 196.450, are averaging scores of 195.038 this season. New Hampshire is coming off of a 196.450-194.350 victory over Temple last weekend. The squad is leg by Danielle Mulligan, who is ranked ninth in the nation on the uneven bars with a RQS of 9.880. Teammates Danielle Doolin (all-around, 38.870, 35th), Casey Lauter (beam, 9.850, 37th) and Meghan Pflieger (floor, 9.850, 39th) are also listed among the nation's top 40.

BRIDGEPORT QUICK HITS
Bridgeport, which will be competing in its first home meet of the season on Sunday, is currently ranked 49th in the nation – and second amongst Division II schools – with a Regional Qualifying Score of 193.705. The Purple Knights, who posted a season-high score of 194.475 during a victory over Southern Connecticut State in early February, are coming off of third-place finish (193.225) at sixth-ranked UCLA last weekend. Bridgeport is led by Brianna Comport, who is listed among the nation's top 15 on the floor exercise (9.885) and among the top 40 on the beam (9.850).
AIR FORCE IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Air Force is ranked 59th in the national standings with a Regional Qualifying Score of 191.855.
AIR FORCE IN THE CONFERENCE RANKINGS
With a Regional Qualifying Score of 191.855, the Falcons are ranked fourth in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. Air Force holds the same placement on the uneven bars (47.690), balance beam (47.940) and floor exercise (48.435). Individually, Kara Witgen is tied for third on the beam (9.740) and sixth on the floor (9.780), while Casey Bell is ranked third on the floor (9.810) and Mariana Murphy is listed fourth in the all-around (37.885).
WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE FALCONS
Air Force travels to Cape Girardeau, Mo., on Sunday, March 5, to take on Southeast Missouri at 1:00 p.m.
