
Casey Branin Wins Floor Exercise at Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. – Air Force sophomore Casey Branin earned a first-place finish on the floor exercise, as the ninth-ranked men's gymnastics team dropped a 425.550-394.850 decision to top-ranked Oklahoma on Saturday, Feb. 25, in Norman. Branin and senior Tim Wang combined for five top-three finishes during the Falcons' conference contest with the Sooners.
Branin scored a career-best 14.300 – the second-highest total in program history – to win the floor exercise, while Wang earned runner-up finishes in the pommel horse (14.600) and vault (14.850). The Falcons' team captain was also the squad's top finisher on the parallel bars (13.350, sixth) and finished third in the all-around (83.250).
Wang was one of two Falcons to finish within the top-half of the field on the vault, as sophomore Lukas Texeira tied for fifth with a mark of 14.350. Junior Fletcher Braunton and sophomore Christian Kalustian rounded out Air Force's list of top finishers, as Braunton finished fifth on the still rings (13.150) and Kalustian tied for sixth on the high bar (13.650).
Air Force returns to action next Saturday (March 4), when it travels to Berkeley, Calif., for a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation dual with 10th-ranked Cal.
