Falcons Travel to Utah State, Boise State for MW Matches

Air Force will face the Aggies on Thursday, Oct. 18 and the Broncos on Saturday, Oct. 20.
The Air Force volleyball team closes out the first half of the home-and-home portion of its Mountain West schedule this weekend, as it kicks off a four-match road swing with trips to Utah State and Boise State. The Falcons, playing in their longest stretch of matches away from the Academy since back-to-back road tournaments in late August, will face the Aggies in Logan, Utah, on Thursday, Oct. 18, before making the drive to Boise, Idaho, to face the Broncos on Saturday, Oct. 20.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Utah State (3-16, 1-7) and Boise State (11-8, 3-5) will face each other in Logan on Tuesday night before hosting the Falcons later in the week. Both squads are coming off of 0-2 weekends on the road at Colorado State (0-3 for both) and Wyoming (0-3 for Utah State, 1-3 for Boise State). The Broncos are ranked among the league's top-five in blocks (third, 2.54), aces (fourth, 1.59), digs (fourth, 14.34) and kills (fifth, 12.94), while Sabryn Roberts and Jessica Donahue ranked third in the conference in kills (3.97) and blocks (1.36), respectively. Utah State is ranked fourth in blocks, behind Corinne Larsen's 1.24 per-set average (fifth), while Tasia Taylor is ranked fourth in digs with a 4.21 average.

Air Force holds a 2-6 record in its all-time series with Utah State and a 3-12 lifetime mark against Boise State. The Falcons, who captured home victories over both squads last season, have accounted for one road victory on this particular road swing (2015 win in Logan).
