
Jeff Robinson Named USAG Varsity Coach of the Year

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – After guiding the Air Force men's gymnastics team to its ninth-straight USAG team title, Jeff Robinson was named the USAG Varsity Head Coach of the Year on Saturday, March 31. It is the third-straight head coaching award for Robinson.
Robinson, in his third year as the Falcons' head coach, has led Air Force to USAG team titles during every year of his tenure. It is the seventh overall coaching award for Robinson, who has been on the sidelines for eight of the program's nine team titles. The Falcons' mentor earned the division's Assistant Coach of the Year award in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015, before capturing Head Coach of the Year honors in each of the last three seasons.
Air Force successfully defended its USAG team title last night, as it posted a 396.400 to capture its ninth-straight championship. Senior Fletcher Braunton (pommel horse), Lukas Texeira (high bar) and Jonah Urlaub (all-around) collected individual event titles and paced the Falcons to nine USAG All-America awards – Urlaub (floor exercise, vault), freshman Ethan Esval (still rings), junior Ryan Girouard (floor exercise), freshman Scott McMurray (pommel horse), freshman Frankie Valentin (still rings).
