
Air Force Earns Eighth-Straight Bid to NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Air Force men's gymnastics team, ranked 11th in the national standings, was selected to compete at the 2018 NCAA Championships in Chicago, the men's gymnastics selection committee announced this afternoon (April 10). It is the eighth-straight year that the Falcons have advanced as a team to the National Qualifier.
Under the direction of third-year head coach Jeff Robinson, Air Force amassed a National Qualifying Average (NQA) of 396.625 to finish as one of 12 teams that will compete in the opening round of the NCAA Championships. In addition to the full squads that earned a bid into the National Qualifier, gymnasts from four other programs were selected to compete as all-around and event specialists.

The National Qualifier, which consists of two preliminary sessions will be held on Friday, April 20, at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago. The top three teams, the top three all-arounders not on an advancing team, and the top three individuals on each event that are not already on an advancing team or qualified in the all-around, will compete in the finals of the NCAA Championships on Saturday, April 21.
