
Falcons Place Four on MPSF All-Academic List

WOODLAND, Calif. – Four members of the Air Force men's gymnastics team earned All-Academic Scholar-Athlete honors from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, executive director Al Beaird announced today (April 17).
Senior Jonathon Fornoff (Bartlett, Ill., 3.33 GPA) captured academic all-conference honors for the third-straight year and became just the sixth Academy gymnast to earn the distinction in every year of eligibility. Junior Lukas Texeira (Waukesha, Wis., 3.21 GPA) earned his second-straight award, while senior Fletcher Braunton (Olympia, Wash., 3.16 GPA) and junior Casey Branin (Irvine, Calif., 3.20 GPA) both claimed their first.
To be considered an All-Academic Scholar-Athlete selection, student-athletes must hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher, be at least a sophomore with one full academic year completed at the member institution, and have competed in 50-percent or more of the institution's competitions.
A total of 30 gymnasts received academic honors from the MPSF for the 2018 season.
