Day One Completed At AFA Invitational

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Day one men's and women's tennis action at the AFA Invitational, hosted by Air Force, concluded Friday at the Air Force Outdoor Intercollegiate Tennis Courts.

Air Force's men's team claimed 10 singles wins and nine doubles wins. The Falcon women's team earned four singles wins and two doubles wins. Three freshmen, Alex Kuo, Amanda Reinhart and Abby Warner, made their collegiate debuts.

"It's always fun to get started and get some match play in," Air Force women's tennis head coach Kim Gidley said. "This group did a great job of working areas we have worked on in practice. They all competed hard and worked through some first round jitters."

Day two action starts at 9 am tomorrow.
