USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – First-year Air Force men's gymnastics head coach Josh Loeser recently completed his coaching staff with the hiring of Sergey Resnick, a two-time All-American and member of two NCAA championship teams at the University of Oklahoma.
Resnick joined the Academy staff following a stint at Enrich Gymnastics and Dance in Houston, where he coached the 2018 Junior National champion. Resnick, who got his coaching start at the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy, has worked with members of the Junior National Team during coaching stops at both Enrich and the Cypress Gymnastics Academy.
A certified personal trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Resnick has also worked as a group trainer at F45 Training in Cypress, Texas.
Resnick competed collegiately for the University of Oklahoma and helped the Sooners capture a pair of NCAA championships. A two-time All-American on the parallel bars (2015, 2016), he was a team captain of the 2016 squad that won the national title by nearly 10 points. Resnick, a four-year member of the Sooners' varsity rotation, also helped OU win four-straight Mountain Pacific Sports Federation titles and captured an individual conference title on the pommel horse as a freshman.
As a former Sooner, Resnick is no stranger to Cadet West Gym. He won three Rocky Mountain Open titles on the pommel horse and two on the parallel bars during his time with Oklahoma, while also claiming his 2013 conference title on the pommel horse at the Academy-hosted MPSF Championships.
A native of Houston, Resnick graduated from OU in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree that included an emphasis in health, exercise science and psychology.
