Air Force women's basketball tips off against NJIT, Friday at 11 a.m. for Field Trip Day

AIR FORCE vs. NJIT
Air Force opens the 2019-20 home slate against the New Jersey Institute of Technology on Friday on Friday (Nov. 8) at 11 a.m., in Clune Arena. Friday's game will mark the first meeting between the programs. The game serves as Field Trip Day for youngsters in the local school districts.

The Falcons host service academy rivals Army West Point, Wednesday (Nov. 13) at 6:30 p.m. MT in Clune Arena. The meeting marks the 20th between the Academies with Air Force winning the last meeting, 71-60, at West Point.
LAST GAME
Air Force fell to No. 20/18 Arizona State in the 2019-2020 season opener, 87-56, Tuesday evening in Desert Financial Arena. The Falcons were led by freshman guard Kamri Heath who scored a game-high 16 points in her collegiate debut.
Heath, who didn't miss a field goal in the first 18:30 of the game, along with freshmen teammates Allyah Marlett and Grace Hess combined for 29 points on their opening night. Marlett dropped eight points and collected eight rebounds while Hess recorded five points. Sophomore team captain and last season's rebounds leader, Emily Conroe, scored 12 points while bringing in eight rebounds, five of which were on the offensive side of the ball.
Kaelin Immel, Air Force's leading scorer for two-straight seasons, recorded a team-high three assists with four points and five rebounds in just under 30 minutes spent on the floor. The Falcons' sophomores Riley Snyder and Haley Jones combined for 11 points, six and five, respectively. Jones added five defensive rebounds to her final tally.

Field Trip with the Falcons provides students, chaperones, and bus drivers FREE tickets* for a one of a kind Falcons women's basketball experience that integrates classroom activities through an educational workbook with practical applications paired with the pageantry and excitement of a college basketball game! The age-appropriate lessons incorporate math, reading and writing while familiarizing students with the Falcons and the United States Air Force Academy!

What if I don't know exactly how many people are coming?
Please provide your best estimate and err on the side of caution. We appreciate you being as precise as possible but understand it is difficult to be exact so far in advance. You will have opportunities as the game draws closer to provide us with your exact number.
Who should be the contact for the school?
The contact for the school will receive important information from Air Force Athletics related to the event on a regular basis. Due to this, we recommend the contact be a full time employee. (IE: a school counselor, vice principal, dean of students, ect.)
What if I need to change the number after I have submitted?
Please email Piper.Juillerat@AirForceAthletics.org with your school name and how many people will be attending.
* Please be aware that registration and final number submission for your school will be due no later than two weeks prior to the game date to allow for Air Force Athletics Staff to prepare seating for all our schools attending the game.
How will students and chaperones get tickets?
There will not be tickets for the event. Schools will receive name tags for each student and chaperone, which will serve as their ticket. Chaperones driving separately should coordinate arrival time with their group and meet up at the bus drop-off location which will be provided in the pre-game information.
What if parents want to attend, but not as chaperones?
Any parent wishing to attend the event, but not as a chaperone may purchase a $8 general admission ticket by calling 719-472-1895 or visiting AFTickets.com. However, due to the large number of school attendees and seating, parents may not sit with the schools. Specific seat locations for parents will be determined closer to the event date.
Where do students put their lunch?
While Air Force Athletics enforces a Clear Bag Policy sack lunches will be exempt from this policy on gameday and students can bring their lunch into Clune Arena. Large coolers, containers, and ice chests ARE NOT PERMITTED into the building. It is best to have each student carry their own lunch if possible. Any coolers/containers/ice chests must be unloaded prior to arriving to the drop off area.
Can we buy lunch at the game?
Yes, the concession stands will be open and special offers will be available for the game!
What if we have medical bags or students' medicine?
Any medicine and medical bags will be exempt from the Clear Bag Policy, but are subject to inspection. To the best of your ability, please consolidate all medicines into one bag or as few as possible.
Do we have to pay for parking for our bus(es)?
No, there will be designated areas for buses to park FREE of charge. You will receive detailed drop-off and parking information from Air Force Athletics as the event approaches.
