
Air Force to Host Army West Point on Saturday

The 13th-ranked Falcons and 12th-ranked Black Knights will meet at noon inside Cadet West Gym.
The 13th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics team returns to the Academy this Saturday (March 2), when it hosts service academy rival and 12th-ranked Army West Point inside Cadet West Gym. The noon meeting will be the second time this season that the two squads have met.
MEET INFORMATION
Air Force and Army West Point will compete at 12:00 p.m. (MT) at the Academy (please note that the start time is one hour earlier than originally scheduled). A live webcast of the meet will be available on GoAirForceFalcons.com. Admission is free for fans attending the meet.
LET'S MEET THE OPPONENT
Army West Point is ranked 12th in the nation with a three-score average of 398.417 – less than one point ahead of Air Force. The Black Knights are listed among the country's top 10 on the floor exercise (68.883/sixth), still rings (67.083/eighth), high bar (65.083/ninth) and vault (70.267/10th), while Cole Casanova is listed among the top 15 in the all-around (81.617/fourth) and vault (14.550/15th). Matt Davis is also ranked among the nation's top 15, as he holds a three-score average of 14.250 on the floor exercise (14th).
AIR FORCE IN THE RANKINGS
Using the Three-Score Average, Air Force is ranked 13th in the national standings with a mark of 397.533. The Falcons are listed among the top-10 on the still rings with an average of 67.050, while Lukas Texeira is listed eighth in the NCAA standings on the high bar with a three-score average of 13.933.

This is the second meeting of the season between Air Force and Army West Point, as the two academies met on a neutral floor at the All-Academy Championships on Feb. 9. The Falcons registered the ninth-highest team score in program history (302.900) to easily defeat their counterparts from New York (396.400), as the squads finished second and third, respectively, behind Navy.
AIR FORCE PLACES THIRD AT PENN STATE TRIANGULAR
In the first "five-up, five count" competition of the season, the Falcons tallied a team score of 392.650 to finish third in a triangular meet against sixth-ranked Penn State (410.300) and seventh-ranked Navy (393.950). Christian Kalustian and Frankie Valentin tied for second on the floor exercise (13.750) to share the team's best finish of the day.
WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE FALCONS
Air Force heads back out on the road next weekend for meets at Stanford (March 8) and Arizona State (March 9).
