
Falcons Split for Another Pair of Competitions

Air Force will compete at the Texas A&M Invitational (April 12-13) and Doug Max Invitational (April 14).
The Air Force track and field team divides up this weekend for another pair of competitions. A select number of Falcons will compete at the Texas A&M Invitational in College Station on April 12-13, while the remainder of the squad will head to Fort Collins for the Doug Max Invitational on April 14.
MEET INFORMATION | TEXAS A&M INVITATIONAL
A total of 44 Falcons will travel to College Station, Texas, for the Texas A&M Invitational, which will be held in the newly renovated E.B. Cushing Stadium. Single day tickets range from $4 to $15 (dependent on location) and be advised that Texas A&M has a "clear bag policy" at all athletic events. Live results and a webcast will be available (direct links will be posted on the team's schedule page at GoAirForceFalcons.com)
WHO'S WHO
The Texas A&M Invitational will feature squads from Air Force, Arizona State, Houston, Rice, Sam Houston State, TCU Texas A&M, Texas State, UTEP and UTSA. The host Aggies are ranked second in both the men's and women's USTFCCCA standings, while Houston holds a No. 9 placement on the men's national rankings.

The Doug Max Invitational has been pushed to Sunday, April 14, in an effort for the athletes to compete in more favorable weather conditions than those predicted for its original day. The meet, which will be held at Jack Christiansen Stadium on the CSU campus, will keep the same schedule as the original meet (listed below). Admission is free. Information regarding live stats has not been announced, but will be posted to the Falcons' schedule at GoAirForceFalcons.com if stats will be made available.

WALDEN, MURPHY SWEEP WEEKLY MOUNTAIN WEST AWARDS
Sedacy Walden and Wyatt Murphy combined for an Air Force sweep of the of the men's weekly Mountain West awards on April 9, as Walden was named the MW Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and Murphy captured the league's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week award.

The Falcons head back to California next week for several nationally-recognized competitions, including the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate (April 18), the Mt. SAC Relays (April 18-20) and the Beach Invitational (April 19).
