
Falcons Open Action at Texas A&M Invitational

A career-best throw by Logan Feasline paced the Falcons to half of the scoring finishes in the javelin.
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – A small contingent of Air Force field athletes kicked off competition at the Texas A&M Invitational this evening (April 21) in College Station. Highlighted by half of the scoring finishes in the javelin throw, the men are tied for sixth (10 points) and the women are in eighth (six) after one day of action at E.B. Cushing Stadium.
Senior Logan Feasline posted a career-best distance of 203'6" – a personal improvement of more than four feet – to finish fifth in the javelin throw and lead the Falcons to half of the scoring finishes. Junior Parker Spearman recorded a throw of 199'10" to finish sixth, while classmate Bailey Ishler finished seventh (178'10") and freshman Marshall Shults placed eighth (173'2").
On the women's side, freshman Erika Willis collected a fourth-place finish in the pole vault after clearing 11'9" on her first attempt. Classmate Corey Friedenbach also scored for the Falcons in that event, as she cleared the same bar on her third attempt to finish eighth.
The Falcons conclude competition at the Texas A&M Invitational tomorrow (April 13), while the rest of the squad travels to Fort Collins on Sunday, April 14, for the Doug Max Invitational.
