Women's Gymnastics Opens the 2020 Campaign at #19 Iowa

LET'S GET STARTED
Air Force breaks the ice on the 2020 season in a tri-meet with Ball State, hosted by No. 19 Iowa, 4 p.m. CT, Saturday (Jan. 11), in Carver-Hawkeye Arena, Iowa City.

WELCOME BACK
Air Force returns 11 letter winners from previous seasons, including four USA Gymnastics All-Americans garnering 10 All-American accolades in last season's campaign. The Falcons also return four-of-five MPSF All-Conference selections who helped Air Force to its first-ever MPSF team title with an Academy record team score of 195.725. Two Academy record-holders are among those returning; Anna Salamone who has the current program record on the uneven parallel bars (9.950), and Tyler Davis who scored the Academy record on the floor exercise (9.950) three times last season.

LEADING FROM THE FRONT
The 2020 squad is under the co-captaincy of returning USA Gymnastics first-team All-Americans, Heidi Sand and Anna Salamone. Sand and Salamone also won first-team MPSF All-Conference honors last season.

ON THE SIDELINE
In her fourth season at Air Force, Jen Langley has taken the helm as the interim head coach for the 2020 campaign. Joining Langley in their first season with Air Force is Andi Dolinsky-Webb and Brittany Montalbano.

CHECKING THE CALENDAR
Air Force will compete in 10 events in the regular season before competing in the 2020 MPSF Championships, March 21, hosted by UC Davis.

The Falcons will host four home meets starting with a dual against Utah State, January 21. Air Force welcomes Seattle Pacific and Illinois State to the Academy for a tri-meet, February 8, followed by another tri-meet on February 15 with UC-Davis and UW-Whitewater in attendance. The Falcons will host Eastern Michigan in the final home meet of the season for Senior Night, February 29.
