This Week:Air Force (0-2, 0-2 AHA) hosts a two-game Atlantic Hockey series with the Robert Morris Colonials (3-2, 1-1 AHA), Friday-Saturday, Dec. 4-5, at the Cadet Ice Arena. Friday's opening faceoff is at 7:05 pm while Saturday's game will start at 4:05 pm. Robert Morris is receiving votes in the most recent USCHO.com poll.
Familiar Faces:A pair of familiar faces will return to the Academy this weekend on the visiting team bench. Robert Morris head coach Derek Schooley spent five seasons at Air Force (1998-2003). Schooley left Air Force in the summer of 2003 to start up the RMU hockey program. As the only head coach in RMU history, Schooley is in his 17th season with the Colonials. Mike Corbett is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Colonials. Corbett spent 10 years (2004-2013) as an assistant at Air Force, helping the Falcons to five AHA Tournament championships (2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012). Corbett left the Academy for Alabama-Huntsville where he served as the head coach for seven seasons (2014-20).

Notes from the AIC Series:
* Freshman Will Gavin scored a goal on his first collegiate shift in game one
* Sophomore Willie Reim scored Air Force's first power-play goal of the season in game two
* Keenan Lund, Zach Mirageas and Brandon Koch all earned assists in the AIC series
* Junior Alex Schilling started both games and has a 2.07 GAA and a .917 saves percentage on the season.
* In each game at AIC, 15 of the 19 skaters in the game were freshmen (7) or sophomores (8).
Scouting RMU:RMU is 3-2 overall this season and 1-1 in league play. The Colonials opened the season with a pair of home wins over Alabama-Huntsville. Last week, RMU and Canisius split a two-game series in Pittsburgh. The Griffs won the first game, 5-2, while RMU won the series finale, 5-4, scoring the game-winner with 1:31 left. Earlier this week, the Colonials lost at home to undefeated and 18th-ranked Bowling Green, 6-3, in Pittsburgh. RMU scored the first two goals of the game, but were outshot, 40-18. BG scored three power-play goals. Nick Prkusic, Justin Addamo and Grant Hebert are tied for the team lead with six points. Jordan Timmons, Randy Hernandez and Addamo lead the team with three goals each. Senior Dyllan Lubbesmeyer has started three of the five games in goal, and has a 3.70 GAA and a .876 saves percentage.
Series vs. RMU:Air Force and Robert Morris have played 40 times and Air Force holds a 21-15-4 in the series that began in 2004. The Falcons are unbeaten in their last eight games (6-0-2) against RMU and are 8-1-2 in the last 11 against the Colonials. Air Force took five points last season in Pittsburgh with a win and a tie (3on3 win). The last time the teams met in Colorado was Jan. 25-26, 2019 and the Falcons swept the two-game series by identical 3-1 scores.
