Women's Hoops Hosts Fresno State Wednesday for the Pink Game

Air Force women's basketball will tip off against the Mountain West regular season champions at 6:30 p.m.

Air Force and Fresno State will be meeting for the 16th time. The Bulldogs are undefeated in the all-time series, 15-0.

Air Force came up short against Mountain West Conference front-runner Fresno State, 61-52, Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 29) in the Save Mart Center. The Bulldogs remain undefeated in the league.
Riley Snyder, who sparked Air Force rallies on multiple occasions, led the Falcons with 16 points by way of three three-pointers, a trio of buckets and a free throw. She shot 46-percent on the night and added two assists and a rebound to her stat line.
Air Force guards Kaelin Immel and Briana Autrey-Thompson tallied 11 points each, both shooting roughly 37-percent on the night. Autrey-Thompson registered a game-high four assists and collected four rebounds. Immel snagged two boards and registered two blocks to round out her stat line.
Freshmen Kamri Heath, Allyah Marlett and Nikki McDonald combined for 10 points and eight rebounds, led by Heath's six points off the bench and McDonald's five rebounds.
The Bulldogs were led by Aly Gamez who scored 16 points and snagged a game-high nine rebounds. Hanna Cavinder tallied 13 points and five rebounds while Wytalla Motta scored 11 and collected six boards. Fresno State out-rebounded Air Force, 47-33, and scored 42-of-61 points in the paint.

Air Force battled San Jose State to a 67-66 win, knocking off the Mountain West's number two team in their home gym, Saturday afternoon (Feb. 15). The Falcons improved to 6-19 overall with their fourth win in the league in league play. San Jose State dropped to 9-5 in the MW with a 15-10 overall record.
Sophomore forward Riley Snyder was superb for the Falcons as she led the squad to victory with a career-high 32 points, setting a new high-scoring standard for Air Force this season. The native of Fruita, Colorado, shot 52-percent from the field (11-21), 63-percent from deep (5-8) and perfect from the free throw line (5-5). Her five three-pointers marked a career-best and the most by any Falcon this season. Snyder rounded out her stat line with eight rebounds, three assists and a steal. The performance marked the first 30-point showing of her career and fifth game with 20 or more points this season.
Air Force's co-team captains, Kaelin Immel and Emily Conroe, led from the front, combining for 28 points, 17 rebounds and six assists. Immel tallied 22 points, four assists, three rebounds and sunk a career-best nine free throws. Conroe snagged a career-best 14 rebounds while scoring six points and dishing a pair of assists. The duo also swiped two steals apiece.
Sophomore point guard Briana Autrey-Thompson facilitated the offense with a game-high eight assists and registered three points, three boards and two steals. Freshman teammate Allyah Marlett came off the bench for four assists while Haley Jones was the only Falcon to score a bucket off the bench.
Air Force out-rebounded the Spartans, 46-39, and outshot them from the field, 38-percent to 35-percent. Both teams turned the ball over 14 times.
San Jose State had a trio of players with double-figure scoring marks, led by Tyra Whitehead's double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Ayzhiana Basallo scored 13 points and dished out a team-high five assists.
IMMEL SETS THE STANDARD
Junior co-team captain Kaelin Immel is the Falcons' leading scorer, averaging 15.5 ppg. The native of Beaverton, Oregon, has 21 double-figure scoring marks and five 20+ point performances on the season, highlighted by a season-high 28 points against defending Mountain West champs, Boise State. She is the fifth-leading scorer and has the 10th-best field goal percentage (.402) in the MW.
CLIMBING THE ALL-TIME LADDER
Immel became the 16th all-time Falcon to achieve 1,000 career points at Air Force. Immel, who now has 1,235 career points, is the 10th all-time leading scorer in program history and fourth leading scorer in the Division I era. The next rung up on the all-time and Div. I scoring ladder is Alecia Steele with 1,237 career points.
CONROE ON THE CAREER STATS LADDER
Junior teammate Emily Conroe is following Immel's lead in the all-time points pursuit with 880 career points, a mark that ranks her 12th in the Div. I era, recently surpassing Elycia Hall (1995-99) who had 854 career points.
Emily Conroe picked up her 500th career rebound at San Diego State (Feb. 8). She now has 526 career rebounds, 371 are defensive, and 155 are offensive. Conroe is the sixth Falcon in Div. I history to achieve the feat. She is currently sixth in the Div. I career-rebounding record book while former teammate, Cortney Porter, is fourth with 571 from 2015-18.

She averaged 28.5 points and six rebounds between the two games and shot 56-percent from the field (20-26), 73-percent from deep (8-11), and was perfect from the free throw line (9-9).
