Falcons and Tigers meet in final regular-season series in Rochester
This Week - Air Force (9-17-6, 9-11-6 AHA) travels to RIT (18-12-4, 14-8-4) for the final regular-season series of the season, Feb. 28-29, in Rochester, N.Y. The Falcons and Tigers meet at 7:05 pm ET each night at the Gene Polisseni Center.
RIT is in fourth place while Air Force is in sixth.

Playoff Picture - Air Force is in sixth place in Atlantic Hockey heading into the final regular-season series. The Falcons could finish as high as fifth, as Air Force is just three points behind the current fifth-place team, Robert Morris. If the Falcons finish fifth, they would have a first-round bye and would then travel to the fourth-place team. If the Falcons finish sixth, seventh or eighth, they would host a first-round series, March 6-8, at Cadet Ice Arena.
Scouting RIT - RIT is 18-12-4 overall and in fourth place in the AHA with a 14-8-4 league record. Last weekend, the Tigers split with Niagara, losing 4-1 on the road and winning 3-2 in overtime at home. The Tigers are 5-1-1 in their last seven games and are 9-3-3 at home this season. Senior Shawn Cameron leads the team with 17 goals and 27 points this season. Junior goalie Logan Drackett has played nearly every minute in goal for the Tigers and had a 2.75 GAA and a .907 saves percentage.
Series vs. RIT - Air Force leads the all-time series vs. RIT, 32-23-4. RIT swept Air Force, 2-1 and 1-0, in a series at the Academy, Oct. 24-25. In that series, Air Force outshot RIT, 80-22, in the series but Tiger goalie Logan Drackett made 79 saves to earn AHA Goalie of the Week honors. Air Force has won nine of the last 12, including six straight wins at RIT.
Both Air Force and RIT joined Atlantic Hockey in 2006 and, since then, the teams have played 50 times. Air Force has won 28, RIT has won 19 and three have ended in a tie. In the history of the series, 46 of the 59 games (78 percent) have been decided by two goals or less with 15 games going into overtime. The teams have met six times in the playoffs, and each team has won three. RIT ended Air Force's season in 2014-15 and 2015-16. Prior to that, Air Force had beaten RIT three times in the playoffs, the 2008 semifinals and the 2011 and 2012 championship games. RIT and Air Force have combined to win 10 of the last 13 tournament titles. Air Force won it in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2017 and 2018. RIT won it in 2010, 2015 and 2016. Canisius won it 2013, Robert Morris won it in 2014 and AIC won it in 2019.
