Air Force will host two meets at the Cadet West Gym during the upcoming season.
USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force men's gymnastics team, under the direction of second-year head coach Josh Loeser, announced its schedule for the upcoming 2021 season this afternoon (Jan. 4), with the Falcons currently slated to host two regular-season meets within the familiar confines of Cadet West Gym.
Air Force will open the season at home on Jan. 16, when they host Oklahoma and Arizona State in a condensed version of its annual Rocky Mountain Open. The Falcons will take on the Sooners again the following week (Jan. 23) for a conference dual meet in Norman, Okla., before traveling to West Point, N.Y., on Feb. 13, for the annual All-Academy Championships against their service academy counterparts from Army West Point and Navy.
Following a break for the Winter Cup Challenge, which will be held in Indianapolis, Ind., over the Feb. 26-27 weekend, Air Force returns to team competition on March 13, when it travels to Palo Alto, Calif., for a triangular meet against MPSF opponents Stanford and Cal. The Falcons return to the Academy the following week (March 20) to close out the regular season with a rematch against Army West Point.
The post-season begins with the USAG Collegiate Nationals on March 27 – a one-day, virtual event that will see the Falcons – champions in nine of the last 10 USAG meets – competing at the Academy. Air Force will return to Stanford for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships on April 3, before closing out the season at the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn., on April 16-17.
The safety and well-being of cadets, coaches, staff and the local community continues to be the top priority for Air Force during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Academy will continue to work with local and state public health officials and will welcome fans to Cadet West Gym if conditions permit.
