COVID-19 Update
-Current Department of Defense and Air Force Academy policies require all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask when indoors in all Academy facilities, including the press box, Blue and Silver Club, suites, elevators and restrooms. All individuals who have not been fully vaccinated must also wear masks outdoors at all times while on the installation. Fans who are fully vaccinated and are not required to wear a mask when outdoors. Anyone with a COVID-19 diagnosis within the previous 10 days, or any symptoms suggestive of possible COVID-19, or a recent close contact with an individual known to be positive for COVID-19 should not come to the stadium. These policies will be constantly evaluated and any changes will be communicated.
Series History vs. San Diego
-Historically, the Falcons are 0-4 against the Toreros since 2004, with Air Force having lost the lone game in San Diego in 2006, a 59-55 defeat.
-A win would mark the first-ever over San Diego in Air Force women's basketball history.
Most Previously Against San Diego
-Air Force's most recent matchup with San Diego took place in 2019, as the Falcons were defeated 70-59 at Clune Arena on November 16.
-Then a sophomore, Riley Snyder paced the Falcons, scoring 18 points in what became her third-consecutive double-figure scoring performance. Snyder also collected seven rebounds on the day and shot a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line.
-Then-sophomore, now senior forward Haley Jones continued to fill her role as a significant rebounder, snagging eight on the day.
First Two Out the Chute
-Cierra Winters led the Falcons with 16 points against Colorado, a new career-high for the senior.
-She finished the afternoon 6-8 from the field (75%), while also managing a game-high six steals and three rebounds before fouling out late in the fourth quarter.
-Of note, Dasha Macmillan and Riley Snyder each scored 11 points, while Haley Jones led all players with nine rebounds. Jones also secured five steals.
-Air Force overcame a 13-point deficit to defeat Denver 79-62 to win its 2021 regular season opener.
-Briana Autrey-Thompson led the Falcons with 26 points against DU, as the Virginian was 10-20 from the field (50%).
-Autrey-Thompson's 26 points tied her single game career-high, a milestone that was previously set against Western Colorado on December 16, 2020.
-Riley Snyder (18 pts), Cierra Winters (12 pts) and Dasha Macmillan (11 pts) also finished in double-figures against the Pioneers.
-Winters also led Air Force with eight rebounds and six steals, with Snyder snagging seven boards of her own.
-Freshman Jo Huntimer was given extended playing time in Air Force's regular season opener and took advantage of the stage.
-Huntimer finished her first collegiate game with two points to go with three assists and a pair of steals over 25 minutes.
After Colorado
-Following Wednesday's game, Air Force will return home for a weekend matchup with Cal-State Fullerton on Saturday, November 20. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 pm MT.
