San Jose State, under the direction of first-year head coach Trent Kersten, enters the weekend with a 13-4 all-time record over Air Force.
AIR FORCE IN THE CONFERENCE RANKINGS
The Falcons currently lead the Mountain West in service aces, with a 2.71 per-set average, while six different Falcons are ranked among the conference's top 10 after the opening weekend of action. DOWN GOES CSU!
Air Force made history on Feb 6, as it stunned Colorado State with a straight-set victory at Moby Arena. The Falcons' win, which snapped a 53-match losing streak to the Rams that dated back to 1995, marked just the second victory for Air Force in the series' 55-match history. Air Force's 25-19, 26-24, 25-22 win marked the first time since 2010 that Colorado State had been swept in a Mountain West match and the first time it had been swept on its home court since (then) No. 3 Texas swept the Rams in 2016.
WHAT'S ON DECK
Air Force is back on the road next weekend, when it heads to Reno for a series with Nevada on Feb 19-20.
