Women’s Gymnastics Scores 191.400 at Gym Quarters Invitational

ST. CHARLES – Air Force scored a 191.400 for a fifth-place finish at the Gym Quarters Invitational, Friday evening. Ball State claimed the top spot with a 194.275. The Falcons excelled on the balance beam, scoring a season-high 48.650 in the event for the best event score of the year.

"We came out strong like we wanted, however, we had a few hiccups in the middle. We finished with a solid performance on balance beam. We are building our confidence and adapting to lots of changes in lineups during the competition which the team has handled like true champs."

-The Falcons equaled their season-best team score on the balance beam (48.575)
-Jessica Kirkpatrick scored a season-high mark on the bars (9.675)
-Pixie Brock's 9.775 on the beam and floor exercise are career-highs in both events; she scored 37.350 in her all-around debut
-Val Smith (9.750) and Cameo Stapleton (9.775) recorded season-high marks on the beam
-Natalie Meyer returned to her winning ways with a season-best 9.725 in the floor exercise
