Women's Swimming Finish Time at First Chance Meet

The Falcons competed in six more events
DENVER, Colo. – The Air Force Academy women's swimming team concluded action at the First Chance Meet Saturday afternoon, Feb. 13, at the El Pomar Natatorium on the campus of the University of Denver. No team scores were kept, as the First Chance Meet serves as one of the final tune-ups before the Mountain West Championships.
The Falcons competed in six events on the day, the 100 free, 200 back, 200 breast, 100 fly, and 500 free and 200 IM.
In the 100 free, freshman Raquelle Roesch paced the Falcons with a 54.37. Classmate Madigan Starr was the only AF swimmer to compete in the 200 back, and she clocked in with a 2:06.84 to finish second.
Freshman Audrey Hines was also the only Falcon swimmer in the 200 breast, and she touched in with a career-best 2:22.57. The only AF swimmer in the 100 fly was sophomore Maddie Williams, finishing with a 1:01.31. In the 500 free, freshman Allison Langenburg touched in first for the Falcons with a 5:20.01. Finally, in the 200 IM, Starr was again the top Falcon, with a 2:11.69.
The next time the Falcons hit the pool will be for the MW Championships, which will be held next Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 18-20, with the swimming portion in Las Vegas, Nev. and the divers at home inside the Cadet Natatorium.
