Women's Hoops Hosts Nevada in League Series Finale

Air Force welcomes the Nevada Wolf Pack to Clune Arena for a two-game Mountain West series and Air Force's regular season finale, March 3 and 4. The second game of the rescheduled Mountain West series against Nevada, originally rescheduled for Friday, March 5, has now been moved up to Thursday, March 4. Tip times are slated for 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.
THE SERIES AGAINST NEVADA
The Falcons and Wolf Pack are meeting for the 22nd time in program history on Monday. Nevada leads the all-time series, 15-6.

LAST TIME THEY MET
Air Force fell to Nevada, 71-67, in Mountain West action, Wednesday evening (Feb. 5) in Clune Arena. The Falcons, who only had two turnovers in the first half and led by 12 points in the third quarter, struggled to close out The Pack in the fourth quarter, giving Nevada room to rally.
The Falcons had three players in double-figures, led by Emily Conroe who dropped 19 points while shooting 70-percent from the field (8-11). Conroe also added three steals and five rebounds to her stat line. Briana Autrey-Thompson and Riley Snyder were the other two Falcons to score in the double-digits, dropping 12 and 11 points, respectively. Autrey-Thompson registered a five assists and three steals while Snyder picked up three rebounds and an assist.
Air Force, who led for nearly 25 minutes of the game, shot well over their season averages, knocking down 45-percent from the field, 30-percent from deep and 75-percent from the line.
Nevada was led by Essence Booker's 17 points while Alyssa Jimenez and Nia Alexander pulled the weight in rebounds, collecting six and five, respectively. The Pack's bench outscored the Air Force bench, 25-10.
UP NEXT
Air Force travels to Las Vegas for the 2021 Air Force Reserve Mountain West Championship tournament, hosted in the Thomas and Mack Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. The first round of the tournament is slated for Sunday, March 7, with the championship game being played Wednesday, March 10.
In last season's tournament, Air Force downed Colorado State in the first round but fell to the second-seeded Boise State Broncos in the quarterfinals. Boise State went on to win their fourth-straight, fifth all-time, MW tournament title.

Air Force led the Rams in scoring for just under 32 minutes of the game, building as much as an 11-point lead in the third quarter. The Falcons had a stellar night of shooting as they knocked down 46-percent of shots from the floor (28-61) and a season-best 60-percent from deep (9-15).
Riley Snyder, who has led the Falcons in scoring for the last three games, scored 22 on the day marking her seventh 20-point performance this season. Snyder was red-hot from the floor, knocking down 57-percent of shots from the field (8-14) and 80-percent from downtown (4-5). Snyder rounded out her stat line with four rebounds and an assist.

Air Force senior Kassady Huffman has impacted the program record book on three occasions this season. She had a career night against UNLV (Feb. 5) as she blocked seven shots, setting Air Force's single-game record for blocked shots in the Division I era.
With her first block of that same game, Huffman denied her 96th shot, taking the seat as the program's leader in career blocks in the Division I era. Huffman now has 114 career blocks.
The Colorado Springs native recorded her 44th block of the season in the upset win against Colorado State (March 1), exceeding her freshman record and season-high (38, 2016-17), while also becoming the program's all-time single-season blocks leader, overtaking Kim Kreke's spot with 43 (2008-09).
Huffman leads the Mountain West (23rd in the nation) in blocks with 44 rejections this season. She averages 2.00 blocks per game to lead the MW while ranking 35th across the nation. Air Force is third in the league in blocked shots (77).
SNYDER SCORES
Riley Snyder leads the Falcons in scoring, averaging 15.2 points per game, 13.9 in conference, so far this season, a mark that ranks her fifth in the league in points per game. She has seven 20-point games, three of which happened in the last four games against the league's top-two teams. Her 319 points this season ranks her fourth in the MW.
Snyder has also been one of the Falcons' most prolific shooters, knocking down 47 three-pointers this season (3rd in MW) with a 37-percent 3FG shooting average (3rd in the MW). She has the fourth-most field goal attempts (313) and attempts made (117) in the league.
Snyder crested the 1,000 all-time career points mark against New Mexico becoming the 18th all-time Falcon to achieve the feat. Her 1,049 career points ranks her seventh in the Division I era. Her 427 points last season is the third most single-season points in the Division I era, behind two of Kaelin Immel's single-season marks [(2017-18, 464, 1st) (2019-20, 445 pts, 2nd)].
