LAST SEASON
(Sept. 18, 2021) Utah State defeated Air Force, 49-45, in Falcon Stadium in the Mountain West opener for both schools. The two teams combined for 1,247 total yards and 49 first downs. The Aggies came back from three double-digit deficits in the game, the last trailing 45-34 with 10:37 left in the game following a 39 yard touchdown run from Air Force quarterback Haaziq Daniels. The Aggies answered with a Andrew Peasley 72 yard touchdown pass to Deven Thompkins and a Peasley two-point conversion run made it 45-42 with 9:51 left. Calvin Tyler, Jr. put Utah State ahead for good, 49-45, with a 61 yard touchdown run with 3:54 left. Following an Air Force fumble on the next possession, the Aggies ran out the clock to end the game. Peasley hit 10-15 passes for 195 yards and three touchdowns in relief of starter Logan Bonner, who was injured. Thompkins had nine catches for 188 yards while Tyler rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns. Utah State had 628 total yards. The Falcons rolled up 619 total yards, including 437 rushing. Emmanuel Michel led the Falcons with a career-high 133 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries, while Brad Roberts added 113 yards on 21 carries. Daniels chipped in with 102 yards and a score on 14 carries and hit 6-12 passes for 182 yards.

(Dec. 3, 2020) Air Force defeated Utah State, 35-7, in Logan, Utah, to close the conference season. Utah State opened the game with a 15-play scoring drive to take a 7-0 lead. The Falcons answered with an 11-play, 75-yard scoring drive on their way to 35 unanswered points. Kadin Remsberg capped the opening drive with a 21-yard touchdown run. Haaziq Daniels hit Ben Peterson with a 49-yard touchdown pass and added a 37-yard TD run to give the Falcons a 21-7 halftime lead. Matthew Murla and Brad Roberts added second half touchdown runs to make up the final margin. Air Force had 461 total yards, including 334 rushing. Remsberg led the rushing attack with 107 yards, while Roberts added 98. Daniels chipped in with 47 and hit 7-9 passes for 127 yards. The Falcons jumped to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter behind a Haaziq Daniels 67-yard touchdown pass to David Cormier and a Matthew Dapore 23-yard field goal. Navy took advantage of an Air Force fumble and kicked a field goal to make it 10-3 at the half. The Midshipmen tied the game with a Tai Lavatai five-yard touchdown run with 10:50 left in the fourth. The Falcons answered with a 22-yard field goal from Dapore to take the lead for good with 4:14 remaining. Following a Navy punt, the Falcons ran out the clock to secure the win. Daniels put the game away with an 18-yard run on third-and-six for a first down. A few kneel downs later ended the game. Air Force used a balanced attack to finish with 356 total yards, including 200 rushing and a season-best 156 passing. Brad Roberts led the team with 108 yards on 23 carries while Daniels added 65 rushing and hit six-of-eight passes for 156 yards and a score. The defense held Navy to 243 total yards. Air Force won its second straight NCAA rushing title last season. The Falcons averaged 327.7 yards, winning the title by 47.1 yards per game over second place Army, who averaged 280.6.
Air Force led the nation for a school-record 10 consecutive weeks during the season, breaking the record of eight weeks set in 2010. The Falcons out-rushed 12 of 13 opponents and topped the 400-yard mark five times. The Falcons averaged 498 yards their final two regular season games of the season, rushing for a season-high 511 vs. UNLV and 485 vs. Nevada.
