Falcons Return Home to Host Nebraska, Army

Air Force begins a two-meet homestand on Saturday, March 12, at 1:00 p.m. (MT).
The 13th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics team returns to the Academy this Saturday (March 12), when hosts third-ranked Nebraska and 10th-ranked Army West Point in an afternoon triangular at Cadet West Gym.
MEET INFORMATION
The Falcons' triangular meet between the former MPSF opponent Cornhuskers and service academy rival Black Knights will take place at 1:00 p.m. (MT) inside Cadet West Gym. Admission is free. Live results will be available via StatBroadcast, while links to the live broadcast can be found on GoAirForceFalcons.com.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Nebraska, ranked third in the NCAA with a four-score average of 404.467, is coming off a victory (408.050) in its home quadrangular against Illinois (406.150) and the club teams from Minnesota (358.500) and Iowa (379.000). The Huskers are ranked among the nation's top five in ever event, including No. 2 averages on the floor exercise, pommel horse, and high bar. Individually, Charlie Giles is ranked among the NCAA Top 10 on the floor exercise (sixth), pommel horse (fourth) and vault (sixth), while a trio of teammates are also listed among the top 10 in their respective events.
Army West Point, which split a triangular (384.100) against Michigan (412.850) and William & Mary (377.200) last weekend, is currently ranked 10th in the NCAA with a four-score mark of 383.400. The Black Knights are ranked among the Top 10 in four events, while Matthew Davis leads the squad with a 13.750 average on the still rings (10th).
AIR FORCE IN THE RANKINGS
With a four-score average of 374.150, Air Force is ranked 13th in the latest NCAA standings. The Falcons are listed among the top 10 on the pommel horse (10th, 61.900) and parallel bars (ninth, 63.283) – moving up one spot in the rankings of the latter. Individually, Garrett Braunton is ranked among the nation's Top 25 on the still rings with a four-score average of 13.233.

Air Force has faced both squads earlier this year, as it hosted Nebraska in the season-opening Rocky Mountain Open on Jan. 15, and faced Army West Point at the neutral location (Frisco, Texas) during the All-Academy Championships on Feb. 12.

Highlighted by a 2022-best 62.600 on the high bar – a seasonal improvement of nearly three points, Air Force tallied a season-high 380.600 during a conference triangular meet with top-ranked Stanford (419.000) and eighth-ranked Cal (390.500) in California on March 5. Backed by a team-high fourth-place finish on the high bar (13.250), Garrett Braunton was the team's leading scorer on four of the six events.
