Garrett Braunton Named to Senior Development Team

Braunton scored a 156.344 to finish 18th in the all-around at the U.S. Men's Championships.
TAMPA, Fla. – Following two successful days of competition at the OOFOS U.S. Men's Gymnastics Championships, Air Force junior Garrett Braunton was named to the Men's Senior Development Team – a spot he will hold through the 2023 Winter Cup.
Braunton, who posted an all-around score of 75.122 on Saturday, finished 18th in the two-day competition with a combined total of 156.344. The junior's best overall finishes came on the still rings and pommel horse, as he tied for 13th on both events. He collected a two-day score of 26.950 (13.350 Thursday, 13.600 Saturday) on the rings, while finishing one point back (25.950) on the pommel horse (13.100, 12.850). Braunton also placed within the top 15 on the high bar, as he scored a two-day tally of 25.894 (14.272, 11.622) to finish 14th on that event. He added a 20th-place mark of 27.950 on the vault (13.900, 14.050), while rounding out his scoring with a 25.700 on the parallel bars (13.400, 12.300; 30th) and a 23.900 on the floor exercise (13.200, 10.700; 33rd).
Sophomore Patrick Hoopes competed on the pommel horse during the U.S. Men's Championships at Tampa's Amalie Arena this weekend, finishing eighth on his signature event with a two-day score of 27.135 (12.943 Thursday, 14.192 Saturday).
