About the Black Knights
Army is 7-13-3 overall and 5-6-2 (20 points) in sixth place in Atlantic Hockey. The Black Knights were off last weekend. Their last game was a 2-1 overtime loss at home to AIC, Jan. 17. Army last lost two straight and is 1-4-1 in their last six games. In the midst of that stretch, Army tied (won the shootout) against No. 11 Providence at Tate Rink. Anthony Firriolo leads the team with 20 points. Ricky Lyle and Joey Baez are tied for the team lead with 10 goals. Gavin Abric has started 18 of the 23 games and has a .901 saves percentage and a 3.20 GAA.
Series vs. Army
Air Force leads the all-time series vs. Army, 48-26-9. The teams met four times last season and Air Force won three of the four. The teams split a regular-season series at Air Force. Army won 8-3 in the first game while Air Force won 3-2 in overtime in game two. The teams met again in the AHA Quarterfinals as the Falcons were the No. 6 seed and Army was the No. 3. Air Force swept the series in West Point with a pair of overtime wins (5-4 and 3-2) as Blake Bride and Parker Brown scored game-winners. Air Force is 8-1 against Army in the playoffs.
