* Air Force's 6-5 win over No. 8 Michigan State marked the highest ranked team the Falcons have beaten since No. 1 St. Cloud State in the 2018 NCAA West Regional. It was the highest ranked team the Falcons have beaten at home since a 5-4 overtime win over No. 5 Denver to open the 2015 season.

* The freshman line of Nick Remissong (LW), Owen Dubois (C) and Brendan Gibbons (RW) combined for three goals and seven points in game one. The trio added two goals and an assist in game two for 10 points in the series.
* Dubois, Gibbons and Remissong all scored their first career points and goals in the MSU series.
* Senior defenseman Luke Rowe and freshman forward Brendan Gibbons earned Atlantic Hockey weekly awards as Rowe took the defensive player award for the second straight week and Gibbons earned the rookie award
* Rowe is the first Falcon to earn the weekly award in consecutive weeks since Cole Gunner in 2014-15

Air Force and UAA have played 26 times and the Seawolves hold a 15-9-2 advantage in the series that began in 1974. Air Force swept UAA last season at the Cadet Ice Arena, 5-3 and 3-1. That series was UAA's first at the Academy since 1989. The Falcons are 2-11-1 in Alaska with the only wins coming in 1974. The Falcons are winless in their last 12 games against UAA in Anchorage. The teams were both independents from 1974 to 1998, playing 19 times during that span. Air Force's last trip to Alaska was for the Brice Alaska Goal Rush in Fairbanks in 2014. The Falcons played in the Kendall Classic in Anchorage in 2010, 2012 and 2013. The Falcons tied UAA, 3-3 in overtime, in 2012. The last two-game series in Anchorage was in 1998, a sweep by the Seawolves. Air Force did win a game in Alaska in 2003, a 2-0 win over No. 21 Miami, at the Nye Frontier Classic at Sullivan Arena. This will be Air Force's first trip to the Avis Alaska Sports Complex.

Alaska-Anchorage is 2-2-0 overall this season with a home split with UMass-Lowell and a road split at Lake Superior State. Porter Schachle leads the team with three goals this season. Max Helgerson also has three points (2-1-3). The Seawolves, one of six NCAA independents this season, were 8-19-1 last season. Jared Whale has started three of the four games and has a 1.97 GAA and a .935 SV%.
