Next-Gen Fighters:
The 2023-24 Falcons roster seven freshmen, the largest class at Air Force since the 2016-17 season and the largest in the Mountain West this season.

In the Falcons' home-opening win against Denver on Nov. 6, Keelie O'Hollaren logged 16 points on 4-6 from three-point range; Jayda McNabb, starting in her intercollegiate debut, totaled nine points on the evening and three blocks – one more than any individual Falcon had in 2022-23; Alexis Cortez, in 19 minutes played, logged five points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal.

At Houston (Nov. 10), McNabb, in her second career start, earned six points, ten rebounds (game-high) and a block in 33 minutes; O'Hollaren logged seven points and four rebounds in 15 minutes.

Scouting Regis:
The reigning RMAC Champion Regis Rangers arrive in Clune with 12 returning players from their 2022-23 players and four starters, which includes last year's RMAC Player of the Year, Erin Fry. In 2022-23, Fry posted 15.7 ppg from behind a .407 three-point shooting percentage.

in 2022-23, Fry led the RMAC in assists (154) and free throw attempts (216, 5th nationally) and was second in assists per-game (4.8) and free throws made (152, 9th nationally).

Graduate senior guard Josey Ryan started all 31 games last season and led the Rangers with 58 steals. Ryan finished second behind Fry in points per game (13.1).

Regis finished 2022-23 in the 90th percentile or higher nationally in rebounds/game (21st, 41.91), rebound margin (15th, 7.1), and defensive rebounds/game (18th, 29.2); All three figures were RMAC-leading.
Last Time/All-Time Versus Regis:
The Falcons hold a 27-9 all-time record against the Rangers, including a 16-4 advantage at home. The Falcons and Regis shared two Division II league memberships from 1984 through the 1994-95 season, before Air Force joined the Western Athletic Conference and the ranks of Division I in 1996. Tuesday night marks just the fourth meeting with the Rangers since leaving Division II, with the Falcons seeking out their third-straight win in that stretch.
Maddie Ice:
Junior team captain Madison Smith posted 18 points on 8-13 FG, seven rebounds, four steals and a block in Air Force's 65-63 win over Denver to open 2023-24.

With the game on the line, Smith scored six of the Falcons' last seven points, including a pair of successful free throws with 1.5 seconds remaining to secure the one-possession win over the Pioneers.

At Houston, Smith went 15-8-1 and two steals, marking her second outing in as many games with a double-digit finish.
Last Time Out:
The Air Force women's basketball team, eager for a marquee win in its first-ever run-in with Houston, fell at the hands of the ready-to-go Cougars, 99-61 on Nov. 10 at the Fertitta Center in downtown Houston.
The Falcons (1-1) collided with a UH squad who held them in check on both sides of the floor for the majority of the evening. Air Force managed to keep the score within reachable distance until Houston unleashed a three-point barrage in the second half, going 7-13 to finish the game at 43.5 percent from distance.
On the defensive side, turnovers plagued Air Force throughout the evening, as the Falcons allowed 33 points off of 27 turnovers on the night – many of which served to stall Air Force momentum at key moments in the game; In the second quarter from the 6:42 mark, Air Force outscored UH 15-9 behind scoring from five different Falcons before a trio of turnovers in the final 90 seconds stalled any offensive gains before halftime; To open the third quarter, a pair of rapid three-pointers from both freshman Keelie O'Hollaren and sophomore Milahnie Perry had Air Force back within 11 points, before a pair of turnovers at the six-minute mark halted Falcon scoring and fueled a 20-8 scoring advantage for Houston from which Air Force never managed to recover.
Perry led scoring for the Falcons, scoring 19; Junior Madison Smith followed up with a double-digit effort of her own, posting 15 points and eight rebounds; Newcomer Jayda McNabb, in her second start, earned six points and ten rebounds on the evening.
