Words From Head Coach Kim Gidley:
"Each week we have competed, we have faced some type of adversity. This week the challenge involved short sleep due to a 30-hour return trip from North Dakota because of weather and tough academic week for the team. Each week the team has battled through similar conditions, and it continues to just make them tougher.
"Our doubles continues to improve, and as a coach you love to see the progress. Our No. 3 team of Le/Swift fought for every point on the way to a dominant 6-0 win, and Flodin/Cotuna clinched on a convincing 6-1 win for themselves.
"In singles, the team came out on fire, winning all first sets on courts one through four, really setting the tone early on and showing great leadership across the top half of the lineup.
"It was the line three match with Flodin that clinched the team win on a come-from-behind third set.
"This team has been pushed and challenged every step of the way so far, and it will be exciting to see how they continue to develop and grow as the season progresses."
Next up, Air Force women's tennis heads to the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. to face FIU on Feb. 18 and making a return appearance on College Match Day Feb. 18, facing Navy.
