FOR THE RECORD BOOK
Patrick Hoopes rearranged the men's gymnastics record books, scoring an impressive 15.300 on the pommel horse in a meet against No. 2 Stanford and No. 8 Navy—winning the event over the powerhouse gymnasts. Hoopes' 15.300 was Air Force's only 15-point score on the season. Not only was the mark the highest score in the event in program history, but also the highest score ever tallied by a male gymnast in program history under the new scoring system.
