
Air Force Men’s Basketball’s Initial 2023-24 Schedule Announced

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's basketball released its initial version of the 2023-24 schedule on Thursday. The Falcons are slated to play 16 home games at Clune Arena, which includes a visit by in-state rival Northern Colorado, a game against VMI and a conference game in February against NCAA Championship Game participant San Diego State.
Air Force plays seven non-conference home games, including three games in four days as part of the Air Force Classic multi-team event (MTE) in mid-November.
The Mountain West slate, which is in the first phase of a two-part schedule process, features an 18-game schedule, with nine games at home and on the road. The second phase will be national television partners, CBS Sports and Fox Sports, shifting selected games from the current dates for broadcast purposes. All national television selections and date changes are expected to be completed by late-September or early October. Conference game times will be set once the broadcast networks finalize their selections.
All Air Force home games not broadcast on television will be streamed digitally on the Mountain West Network (MWN).
The season-opener is at home Nov. 6 against Portland State. The Falcons follow with a two-game road trip to the east coast to play at LIU on Nov. 10 and Delaware on Nov. 12.
Air Force returns home for its next four games. The Falcons host Lindenwood, William & Mary and Omaha for three games in four-days as part of an MTE series. The Lindenwood game is on Nov. 16, the William & Mary game on the 17th and after a day off, the Omaha game is on the 19th. The Falcons cap the homestand hosting VMI on Nov. 22 and then travel to South Dakota to cap the month on Nov. 26.
The Falcons play four games in December, starting with a road game Dec. 3 at Portland. Air Force returns home to host defending Big Sky Champion Eastern Washington on Dec. 9.
The next game will be a neutral-site game on Dec. 16 against UT-Arlington as part of a basketball tripleheader at the US LBM Coast-To-Coast Challenge at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The Falcons cap non-conference play Dec. 21 hosting Northern Colorado.
ir Force has one open date on its schedule and could add an additional non-conference game. Any updates will be announced at a later date.
The conference slate kicks-off Jan. 2 at home against NCAA Tournament participant Utah State. Following a Jan. 9 road game at NCAA Tournament participant Nevada, the Falcons host San Jose State on Jan. 13. Air Force then heads up I-25 to take on Colorado State on Jan. 16 before returning home to face New Mexico on Jan. 20.
Air Force follows with back-to-back road trips, beginning at UNLV on Jan. 23 and then Fresno State on Jan. 27. The Falcons close out the month hosting Wyoming on Jan. 30.

The Falcons then host back-to-back home games beginning with a Feb. 6 showdown with San Diego State and then a Feb. 10 game against Fresno State. Air Force then heads out to San Jose State on Feb. 13 and returns to host UNLV on Feb. 20.
The Falcons close out February with a road trip on the 24th to New Mexico and then a home game on the 27th against Boise State. Air Force starts March with back-to-back road games, taking on Utah State on March 2 and Wyoming on March 5. The regular season ends March 9 at home against Colorado State.
The 2024 Mountain West Men's Basketball Championships runs March 13-16 at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
Air Force returns four starters off the 2022-23 team. Returning starters include junior guard Ethan Taylor, junior guard Jeffrey Mills, junior forward Beau Becker and sophomore forward and leading returning scorer Rytis Petraitis.
