Air Force announces 2023 water polo schedule

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force water polo team announced its 2023 schedule, highlighted by six home games at the Academy.
The Falcons open the season by hosting the Rare Air Challenge, Sept. 2-3. The first match of the season is against Johns Hopkins, followed by games against Redlands, UC Davis and Cal Lutheran.
Air Force is on the road for the remainder of the month, beginning with the Inland Empire Tournament, Sept. 9-10. The Falcons then put their two-game win streak on the line at Navy on Sept. 14. The two teams will again play for the Freedom Vase.
Air Force then competes at the Bucknell Invite in Lewisburg, Pa.,, Sept. 16-17, followed by the Titan Invitational, hosted by new Div. I program Cal State Fullerton, Sept. 22-23 and capped with the Gary Troyer Invitational in Claremont/Pomona, Calif., Sept. 29-30. The Falcons will play a tripleheader on Sept. 30 with two matches at the Troyer Invite, followed by a match at UCLA in the nightcap.
Air Force plays its first-ever game as a member of the West Coast Conference on Oct. 14, hosting San Jose State.
The Falcons then hit the road again for the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament in Santa Clara, Oct. 20-22. Air Force then plays WCC matches at LMU (Oct. 27), Pepperdine (Oct. 29), Pacific (Nov. 3), a non-conference match at UC Merced (Nov. 4), and then a WCC match at Cal Baptist (Nov. 5). The regular season concludes Nov. 10 hosting Santa Clara for senior day.
The WCC Championships is Nov. 17-19 in Malibu, Calif.
Air Force is coming off a 23-12 season in 2022. The 23 wins are the second-most in program history.
