Air Force Men’s Tennis Completes Day Two Hosting ITA Bedford Cup

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force men's tennis completed day two action at the 2023 ITA Bedford Cup In The Mountains this Saturday, at the Air Force Outdoor Intercollegiate Tennis Courts.
Air Force picked up three doubles wins and nine singles wins on the day.
The Falcons have three doubles groups playing in the finals in two draws. Arjun Kersten and Nick Vroman made the West Draw finals after defeating Coutinho/Savio of Weber State 6-2. Alec Fritzinger and AJ Moore defeated D'ostiani/Feigin of New Mexico State 7-5 to advance to the West Draw finals. The duo of sophomore Kabir Rajpal and freshman Michael Choi will play in the South draw finals after a win over Cowan/Ciobotaru of Montana, who withdrew due to injury.
In the A draw, sophomore Phillip Deaton and junior Arjun Kersten won their matches to advance to the finals of their respective draws. Deaton defeated Fernando Perez of Montan via withdrawl from injury to play in the finals Sunday in the North Draw. Kersten defeated Dusan Rsovac of UNLV 6-3, 6-1 to advance to the championship match of the South Draw.
In the B draw, sophomore AJ Moore advanced to the finals with a semifinals win over Tom Bittner of Montana, 6-1, 6-4. Senior Nick Vroman defeated Aaron Bailey of UNLV 3-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-1 to make the finals of the South Draw.
In the C draw, freshman Michael Choi made the finals with a win over Ti Hirano of UNLV 2-6, 6-4, 7-5. Freshman Alec Fritzinger advance to the North Draw finals and sophomore Kabir Rajpal advance to the West Draw finals win a win over Thomas Navarro of UNLV 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).
In the D draw, Air Force will secure the North draw title, with both freshman Tyler Leaird and junior Kyle Garner advancing from the semifinals. The two play each other in the finals match.
Day three and final day action resumes tomorrow beginning at 9 am.
