Air Force Falls Against San Jose State in Conference Opener, 3-0

Eight Falcons combined for 10 Air Force attempts, led by freshman Bradley Poppell who took three shots. Ryan Daunt was the only Falcon to put a shot on goal.
Air Force had near goals on two occasions; Bradley Poppel was just over the crossbar on a deflection in the 37th minute and Ryan Daunt was just barely denied on a header in the 68th minute.
SJSU's Angel Iniguez had a career night with a hat trick performance. Iniguez's first strike came via touches from Angel Fernandez and Anthony Guzman in the 41st minute. In the 72nd minute, Iniguez notched number two via feed from Diogo Baptista. His third strike came off a keeper deflection, finishing far left unassisted.
Air Force keeper William Collins made five saves in the effort, while counterpart Edgar Guerra notched his second shutout with a critical save.
Up next, the Falcons welcome Seattle U to Cadet Soccer Stadium for a Sunday afternoon (Oct. 6) WAC contest. Action is slated for 1 p.m. MT.
