WHAT'S ON DECK

THE DYNAMIC DUO
01-27-24 | Liliane Aittama and Camryn Bodine had a stellar outing at the Albuquerque Convention Center on Jan. 27, as the pair finished 1-2 in the 800-meter run to debut on the Air Force Top 10. Aittama won the 34-runner event with a time of 2:12.00, while Bodine was hot on her heels with a runner-up time of 2:12.48. With adjustments for altitude, Aittama's 2:11.27a is the fifth-fastest time in Academy history, while Bodine's 2:11.74a is the program's sixth-fastest time.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
01-27-24 | Two events after completing the 800-meter run, Camryn Bodine returned to the track to anchor the 4x400-meter relay to the third-fastest time in Air Force history. The quartet, which included Taylor Rioux, Kori Leverenz and Allison Fernstrom, combined for a time of 3:47.49 – the fastest relay in two years and a finish that placed eighth in the 22-team field.
CAUTION, FALLING RECORDS
01-26-24 | With a time of 24.57, Taylor Rioux reset Aubrey Ridgeway's 2021 Academy standard by 0.07 – and took two-tenths of a second off the Junior Class Record she originally set in the season opener. With that time, Rioux easily won her heat and placed 13th out of 97 total sprinters in the event.
