The Falcons hit the road to take on Detroit Mercy in ASUN Conference action, April 13. Action on Saturday at Titan Field is slated for 11 a.m. ET. The Falcons remain undefeated against Detroit and will look to extend to nine-straight wins against the league foe.
THE SERIES
Air Force and Detroit Mercy are meeting for the ninth time in program history. The Falcons control the all-time series, 8-0. In last three games, AF has outscored the Titans by an average of 11 goals. Last season, the Falcons thundered past the UDM, 22-7.
LAST TIME THEY PLAYED
Air Force put up season high numbers in the 22-7 routing of Detroit Mercy on April 15, 2023. Matt Rubino and Aidan Tolen put up three goals apiece. Luke Vrsansky tacked on two goals while Cole Rassas, Josh Yago, and Hunter Panzik put up one each. Falcon star Brandon Dodd put up a record-breaking 10-points via six goals and four assists—tying for second-most single-game points in the AF record book.

-Air Force is on a 5-0 conference start, marking the best league start since going undefeated in the Southern Conference in 2016.

-Sophomore Caelan Driggs leads Air Force in goals (24) and has points (29) so far this season. He has three hat tricks (4g, 4g, 5g), coming off a five-goal performance against Lindenwood. -Freshman Turner Ashby was named to the Inside Lacrosse Top-25 Midseason Freshman Impact list. Ashby has a pair of hat tricks this season with 16 goals in his inaugural campaign. He has scored in all but one game of the season and is third on the team with 26 points (16g, 10a).
-The Air Force defense is led by co-team captains Chris Bardak and James Chastain. The duo combines for 24 caused turnovers— Bardak with 14, Chastain with 10. Bardak has 33 ground balls, the most by any non-face off player.
-At center X, Jake Knapp takes the lion's share of face off attempts. He has a .469 win-percentage on the season and a season-best 17 face off wins against Queens. He is third in the ASUN in ground balls per game (4.50) and sixth in the league in face off win percentage.
FIGHTIN' FRESHMEN
AF freshmen Turner Ashby, Jake mason, Mana Wilhelm, and Blaze DeGracie combine for 26 goals and 14 assists. Ashby was named to the Inside Lacrosse Top-25 Midseason Freshman Impact list this week and has started in all 10 games this season.

Air Force notched its fifth straight win in ASUN Conference action with a convincing 11-7 win over Bellarmine, Saturday afternoon at Falcon Stadium. Freshman attack man Turner Ashby notched his second hat trick of the season to lead the offense, while junior goalie Jake Marek secured the win in his first career start in cage.
COMING UP
The Falcons welcome Mercer to the Academy for a midweek matchup, Wednesday (April 17). Action is slated for noon MT at Falcon Stadium. Air Force is on a two-game winning streak against the Bears but looks to redeem its last meeting at Falcon Stadium where Mercer outscored AF, 15-13.
