COLORADO SPRINGS- The Air Force pitching staff surrendered 21 hits on Saturday, as San Jose State's offense was too much to overcome in the 17-8 loss.

Charlie Jones clubbed his third two-run home run of the series in the 5th before a two-run double in the 9th. He finished the day 2-4 with 4 RBIs, giving Jones 8 RBIs the past two games.

Zach Peters was the only other Falcon with multiple hits, as he was 2-4 with an RBI single in the 9th. Jay Thomason brought in a run in the 5th with a run-scoring triple.

Tripp Garrish was 1-3 with an RBI double, while Walker Zapp and Chase Spencer each provided hits. Jake Greiving was 0-5 with an RBI groundout.

Through eight innings, Air Force had been out-hit 21-5 before a four-run outburst in the 9th.

Making the start, Dylan Rogers managed just 2.2 innings and was on the hook for four runs as the result of six hits. The Air Force bullpen tossed the final 5.1 innings of the game, allowing 13 runs by way of 15 hits.

San Jose State's 21 hits and 17 runs are the most allowed by Air Force at Erdle Field this season.

The Falcons will go for the series win on Sunday, May 5, when the two sides close the weekend set at 12:00 pm MT.
